Andy Warhol in the 21st Century

In the 1960s Andy Warhol helped to redefine art and the artist. Some fifty years after his ground-breaking exhibitions, his work remains well-known and generally well-regarded by both the public and the art world. A new generation of scholars has displaced the superficial and farcical Andy with an artist who was a thoughtful, penetrating critic of his society.

Dr. Wisotzki is an Associate Professor, Department of Fine and Performing Arts at Loyola University in Chicago.
