A Day with Edvard Munch at the Art Institute of Chicago

Featuring the "Becoming Edvard Munch: Influence, Anxiety and Myth" exhibit.

Join members of the Fine Arts Society of Peoria and Lakeview Museum members viewing works rarely seen in the United States. The exhibit includes 75 paintings and 75 works on paper by Edvard Munch and his peers. Among other themes, their work explores loneliness and solitude, love and sexuality, landscape, the street, and death and dying. Munch's work is compared to that of his peers including Harriet Backer, James Ensor, Vincent van Gogh, Max Kinger, Christian Krogh and Claude Monet.

Tickets are not timed, so you may view the exhibition at your leisure with an audio guide and explore the Art Institute's many permanent exhibits at no additional cost.

The Museum Shop offers a Munch catalog and other items as well as apparel and accessories, books, jewelry, home furnishings and art from around the world.

$85.00 for Fine Arts Society members

$95.00 for non-members

NOTE: Lunch will be on our own at a cafeteria, restaurant or cafe in or near the Art Institute.


Cancellation must be made before March 15, 2009 to obtain refund.
